How to Choose Which Class is Right for You
We get a lot of questions about the difference between our CrossFit classes vs Boot Camp classes and which one is best for individuals. Here’s a rundown of how each class is structured to help you decide which program is right for you:
All new members joining CrossFit group classes start out with our On-Ramp program. These are 3 or more 1-on-1 session with a coach. They are designed to get you introduced to the CrossFit foundational movements and introduce you to using a barbell.
Equipment Used: everything from barbells to body weight movements and everything in between.
Class structure: CrossFit class structure incorporates a general warm-up and specific warm for the movements that will be performed that day. with a different workout each day, you can see anything from strictly strength-based classes to longer endurance type workouts. Each class is 1 hour in length and every part of the class is led by an experienced coach, you are never left alone to do workouts on your own. With multiple class times available each day, you have the flexibility to attend classes on different days and at different times.
In CrossFit class, more emphasis is placed on learning & progressions since some of the movements can be quite complex. Technique & skill is improved overtime.
CrossFit is for You, if – you would like to learn to use a barbell and are open to learning higher skill movements through strength and technique work. This doesn’t mean you have to be at any particular ability or skill level before joining, we’re able to adjust movements to meet you where you are. There’s never any requirement to perform any movement that you’re not comfortable with. So if you could care less about learning handstand push-ups, no problem!
Boot Camp classes are designed to jump right in. We remove the barbell and complex movements from these classes so you can get moving and get your sweat on!
Class structure: Boot Camp is a more circuit-based class that still includes the same coaching experience as our CrossFit classes. Each class is 45min on Tues & Thurs at 7:30p and runs in 6 week cycles with a new cycle starting every 7 weeks.
Boot Camp is for YOU if – you don’t have any interest in using a barbell or learning higher skill movements. You want to just jump into class and get a great workout in.
